Have You Procured Complex Systems on Major Infrastructure Projects?
Do You Have Experience Supporting Both Procurement Strategy and Post-Contract Delivery in a Client-Side Environment?
Salary: £70,000–£95,000 per annum
Location: Central London (3 days per week in office)
I’m recruiting for multiple Commercial Manager positions to support the delivery of two major infrastructure programmes through a client-side consultancy team. These roles offer the chance to work on technically demanding, large-scale projects with varied responsibilities depending on level—ranging from strategic procurement through to contract delivery and commercial management.
The roles are ideal for commercially strong individuals with experience leading packages from procurement strategy to post-contract delivery, ideally across infrastructure, rail, utilities, or similarly complex environments.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and commercial delivery on complex projects
- NEC or FIDIC contract experience
- Proven background in infrastructure, rail, energy, or other complex systems environments
- Comfortable preparing and managing tender documentation and running supplier evaluations
- Experience procuring systems such as cabling, power infrastructure, or large-scale technical components.
- Client-facing, with strong internal stakeholder engagement capability
- Chartership is preferred but not essential
- Open to candidates from various sectors with the right commercial and procurement depth
Responsibilities:
- Lead pre- and post-contract commercial activity, from procurement strategy through to contract administration
- Coordinate tender preparation, supplier engagement, and commercial evaluation processes
- Support internal governance and commercial assurance
- Work closely with delivery and engineering teams to ensure seamless contract handover and execution
- Manage stakeholder expectations across consultancy and end-client teams
This will be a two to three-stage interview process, including with the consultancy’s client.
