Job Description:
 
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Commercial Assistant. As a vital member of the Commercial Department, you will provide comprehensive support to the Commercial and Contract Managers. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with contracts, negotiations, subcontractor and supplier communications, as well as claims management. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Collaborate with the Commercial team to handle contracts, negotiations, subcontractor and supplier communications, and claims management.
Facilitate the seamless movement of legal documents from drafting/receipt to collaboration, negotiation, and signature.
Maintain secure filing of all signed contracts, contract amendments, and other contractual and legal documents.
Assist in the production of commercial correspondence, record-keeping, and preparation of contractual notices in accordance with contractual conditions.
Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.
Environmental Responsibilities:
 
Incorporate environmental considerations into decision-making processes, such as material procurement, energy efficiency, pollution, and site ecology.
Demonstrate awareness of the environmental consequences of actions, familiarize yourself with relevant project documentation, standards, and contractual requirements, and seek advice from the Environmental Department as needed.

Cooperate with employers and other individuals in the performance of statutory duties.

Person Specification:
 
Skills and Experience:
 
Proficient IT knowledge and skills, particularly in MS Office.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, and conscientious approach to work.
Flexibility and willingness to take on diverse responsibilities while meeting tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced office environment.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Effective interpersonal communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Some knowledge or experience in the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.
