Job description

What we need:
Our client, a busy local authority in the South East, is looking for an experienced and reliable Clerk of Works to assist on delivering a number of Highways schemes across the region under NEC4 contract conditions.
 
What you will do:
The primary role is to undertake site inspections, data collection, assist in design & monitoring the contractors, recording site activities for audit purposes. Liaising with client, utility providers & local communities. The role will provide support to Engineers in the delivery of structure and highway improvements, carriageway improvements, footway resurfacing & the delivery of new major schemes.

What you will need to succeed:
Demonstrable experience & extensive knowledge of highway construction and maintenance, including understanding of related construction methods, site monitoring & contract documents (NEC4)
Experienced in monitoring contractors undertaking highway improvement operations and traffic management activities.
Experienced in site inspections, checking site measurements and creating site records, recording events during the construction process.
Good knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental processes
IT literate (e.g. MS Office).
Good communication skills.
Full driving license
Knowledge and experience in NEC4 Contracts
