Clerk of Works  
 
Are you a qualified Clerk of Works with a proven record of accomplishment in the site-based delivery of housing upgrades / refurbishment schemes with Local Authorities or Housing providers looking for a new challenge with a people centric Local Authority?  
 
If so, this Bedfordshire based Council role could be for you.
 
 
 
Who will you be joining?  
 
A busy Major works project team in a Bedfordshire based Local Authority delivering multiple contracts on their housing stock. This council pride themselves on their people first ethos with big plans for the delivery of their strategic plans for the future of their town.
 
 
 
What will you do?
 
The post holder will be required to:
 
Produce clear concise reports with supporting data
 
Analyse data and information provided by partner contractors and consultants.  
 
Provide technical advice  
 
Find practical solutions for obstacles to the delivery of the projects  
 
 
 
What do you need?  
 
To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate experience of the following:  
 
Previous experience of working with staff and contractors under both TPC and JCT forms of contract. Carrying out site inspections meeting with leaseholders and other residents as part of the role.
 
Working in a local authority, housing association or large private sector property owner while delivering services of a similar nature.
 
Providing weekly and monthly reports and briefing managers and contractors. Monitoring progress on sites and compliance with key performance indicators  
 
Carrying out checks and audits of work and providing information to your line manager and other stakeholders.  
 
Producing progress reports and making recommendations to improve the service.
