Highways Clerk of Works
 
Salary: £35,000-£45,000
 
The role
Ensure compliance of developers' highway works with standards for public highway adoption. Focus on meticulous quality monitoring, adherence to planning obligations, and optimizing work longevity.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Conduct on-site inspections for new road construction, ensuring alignment with approved plans and standards.
Contribute to works program management.
Provide timely advice on highway matters to stakeholders.
Generate reports highlighting progress and issues.
Liaise with developers, offering expert advice on construction methods.
Monitor compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
Conduct Health and Safety audits for funded schemes.
Maintain accurate project records.
Mentor team members for professional growth.
 
Requirements:
 
HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
Experience in supervising highway construction.
Understanding of highway law (preferred).
NRSWA accreditation, CSCS card, and Site Management Safety Training Scheme certification.
Proficiency in MS packages.
Valid driving license.
