Job description

Are you a Project Engineer with Bridge/Viaduct, Tunnelling, or Earthworks experience?

Do you want to work client side on HS2, the largest infrastructure project in Europe?

This is a truly unique opportunity to work client side on HS2 as Project Engineer, working with one of their Joint Ventures. My client is looking for an experienced engineer to assist on their project, focusing on heavy civils/geotechnical.
Those from a design background with construction awareness are of interest.

This will be an overseeing/ assurance role as the client. They are looking for someone who can liaise with all parties, conduct design assurance, and provide construction support.

Those from an engineering/design management or principal engineer background may also suit.

Location: 2 days in the office per week, Milton Keynes once per week, and Brackley or Chipping Warden depending on the discipline you work in.
Milton Keynes will be your base office and all other locations will be expensed past MK distance.

Salary: £48,900 to £61,140 per year, with double matched pension up to 6 % (employer contribution capped at 12%)

Required:

  • Previous complex infrastructure project experience such as major Network Rail schemes, Crossrail etc. and other civil engineering/large scale development projects.
  • Chartered or interest in becoming Chartered.
  • 5 years post graduate experience.
  • Those who come from a design background, ideally from a large design consultancy experience.
  • Have some familiarity of the building/construction of design.
  • Design assurance experience.
  • Bridge/Viaduct, Tunnelling, or Earthworks or other heavy civils experience.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team.
  • Already worked in a project engineer position or engineering/design management or principal engineer background.
  • Know when to contact subject matter experts.
