Job description

My client are a large telecoms infrastructure and service provider working i the Mobile Telecoms sector. They have been established since the early 200's and have a great reputation for delivering on high end projects and offering excellent solutions for their clients.
 
They have an opportunity for Cellular Test Engineers to join a well established team. Working across the Uk, you will be working in an organised team to test radio networks. You will be given a fully kitted out van and everything required to succeed in being an excellent engineer. with excellent support and a highly knowledgeable management team, you will be able to grow and progress in your role.  You will be working on site, at home and from the office. You may need to stay away from home at times.
 
Experience required:
 
·5 year operational experience with radio network drive and Walk Testing
·A good knowledge of UMTS, LTE, GSM & 5G NR
·Drive test and Site Survey experience
·Ability to configure & create custom test scripts / configure troubleshoot network issues
·Experience in RF reporting using XCAP, Nemo or Actix
·Ability to use MS Word & Excel
·Excellent understanding and experience in the set up  of drive testing tools
·Experience of radio network testing, Cell planning, IBDAS Design, Test and Optimisation of major managed service providers (Desirable)
·RF tool usage - Power meters, spectrum analysers, CW transmitters and modulated signal generators (Desirable)
·Advanced end-to-end troubleshooting and analysis skills with GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G NR packet and voice services utilising drive test logs, UE traces and network analysers and OSS statistics. Ability to make analysis recommendations and perform RF parameter optimisation.
 
Skills required:
 
·Good analytical skills
·Good working knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE and 5G NR mobile networks
·Operational knowledge of UK network vendor equipment, working directly with mobile operators and/or major managed service providers in previous roles.
·Network RF identification parameters and the ability to troubleshoot
·MS office skills inclusive of Excel and Visual Basic
·Strong written and verbal skills
