Job description
As a Building Surveyor, you will provide expert advice on property and construction, ranging from large value projects to smaller works and repairs.
Your role will involve conducting detailed reports, specifications, and building surveys, identifying defects, and offering guidance on repair, maintenance, restoration, and remedial options. You will also play a key role in managing projects, including those related to PFI hospitals, local authority properties, social housing, and listed buildings
In addition to delivering high-quality technical services, you will liaise with clients, construction companies, and other relevant stakeholders. You'll represent the company in meetings, helping to build strong relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
·Ensure projects are completed on budget and to schedule
·Advise clients on schemes and projects, determining requirements
·Prepare scheme designs, costings, project timelines, and specifications
·Provide guidance on building maintenance management and supervision
·Advise on property legislation, building regulations, and health and safety
·Conduct feasibility studies and provide recommendations
·Manage projects, ensuring smooth delivery from inception to completion
Qualifications & Experience:
·Preferably RICS course qualified
·Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
·Postgraduate experience in building surveying
