My client has an exciting opportunity available for a Building Control Surveyor to join on a permanent basis in West Berkshire, North Hampshire and East Wiltshire.
 
This role requires an experienced professional surveyor to join a growing team in a small set-up, providing a range of professional and technical skills to a broad base of clients on interesting cases.
 
Essential Requirements:
 
- Previous successful experience in a building control section of a local authority or similar organisation processing complex building regulation applications;
- Competent user of IT
- Good knowledge of current building control legislation, guidance and issues relevant to the post specifically and the service generally
- A working knowledge of sustainability issues as they relate to building construction and design.
- Effective customer care skills and ability to successfully handle complaints.
- Ability to ensure that services provided are of a high quality and to agreed targets and service outcomes.
- Practical understanding of the implications of Health and Safety legislation particularly in relation to personal safety and the safety of others
 
Desired Requirements:
 
- Full driving licence
- Able to make site inspections including ability to climb ladders
 
This role is offering up to £52,000 plus benefits including flexible working hours, pension and company car (Peugeot 3009) as well as travel to the office/sites is covered from home.
