Job description

Civil Engineering is a key component of my clients' business and a service which they feel should be offered at all of their office locations. Therefore they are keen to bring in the right person to lead this in the new Liverpool office.

They see this person as having responsibility for not only the technical aspects and delivery of projects, but also working with the Business Development team to promote the business.
They feel that to target an initial team of 3 Civil Engineering staff would be appropriate, but the approach to this is very much something they would like the successful candidate to have significant input to as it is important that they play a significant role in developing the vision for the Civils team in Liverpool.

They have a Divisional Director (Structures) in place and as well as leading the Structural discipline in the Liverpool office, they have overall responsibility for management of the office.

This will not extend to management of other disciplines including the Civil Engineering team.  This Divisional Director has worked for the company previously and knows their core values well, which they feel will help to make growth of the office straightforward.

Whilst the company would provide the required level of support, they see the role on offer as being a real opportunity for someone to mould a team and department and to be empowered to grow this team with the support of the business.  They feel that the creation of a new team married to the opening of a new office will give great momentum for success and hopefully an exciting opportunity.
