Associate Traffic Director
Our client is looking for an Associate Traffic Director to join their team based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading multi-disciplinary design, engineering, and landscape architecture consultancy whose highly talented people are passionate about creating places that are attractive, innovative, sustainable, and safe. The role is a full-time permanent position, with the option of hybrid working. The successful candidate will be collaborating with the Technical Director of Traffic and Parking and additional Associate Directors in Traffic to deliver on the business plans and strategies. This includes managing direct reports and leading multiple projects with different clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Associate Directors for the professional and financial performance of the Traffic Team and their projects.
- Lead a team of senior engineers, engineers and technicians/graduates and apprentices.
- Oversee and assist in the preparation of brief responses, bids, proposals and estimates for new work.
- Identify and agree on resources for current and new projects.
- Provide CDM advice and where practical, act as Principal Designer
- Guide project managers to deliver quality projects to customers' requirements.
- Provide technical direction, advice and support to the team to resolve problems and enhance business/project performance.
- Build relationships with clients and Project Centre staff across teams.
- Act as an account manager for key clients and work closely with the Regional Director to assist in managing client accounts, and to deliver regional financial performance.
- Recruit and develop staff to meet customer expectations and business growth plans
- Develop new service areas such as business case preparation and broader transport policies for clients
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of traffic engineering, highways engineering and/or parking and transportation planning
- Relevant degree or equivalent
- Experience of successfully managing and delivering projects
- Professional Membership MICE/MCILT/MIHT is desirable
- Qualification in project management is desirable
