Associate Town Planning Director - Manchester
Location: Manchester (City Centre)
Employment: Full-Time, Permanent
Are you an ambitious and experienced Associate Town Planner ready to take the next big step in your career or Principal Town Planner looking for progression? I'm working with a nationally recognised planning and development consultancy with a strong presence across the UK and an expanding team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join as an Associate Director where you'll play a pivotal role in leading impactful projects across the North West and beyond.
As an Associate Director, you will:
·Lead and deliver a diverse portfolio of planning projects, from major residential and commercial schemes to regeneration, infrastructure and strategic site work.
·Provide high-quality planning and land use advice to a varied client base including developers, housebuilders, investors and public sector clients.
·Manage the preparation and submission of planning applications, representations, appeals and strategy documents.
·Directly contribute to business growth by fostering and developing strong client relationships and winning repeat work.
·Mentor and support more junior team members, nurturing their professional development and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
·Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) (or equivalent) with typically 5+ years post-qualifying experience in planning consultancy.
·A proven track record of delivering planning projects through the UK regulatory framework, preferably with experience across complex or high-profile schemes.
·Strong analytical, communication and client management skills with the ability to work independently and lead on multiple projects.
·A proactive approach to business development, with the ability to grow your own network and drive revenue.
