Are you a Rail Assistant Quantity Surveyor with experience working on Minor Works?
 
Do you have experience managing rail projects from inception to close out?
 
This is an amazing opportunity to work for an industry leading tier 1 contractor as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, where you will be managing numerous minor works projects on a Minor Works Framework with TfL, and assisting the Project QS and Commercial Manager.
 
Salary: £31,000 - £35,000 per annum DOE
Location: Wembley + travel to sites

In this role you will be responsible for managing the client by issuing Applications for Payment, formal communications, early warning notifications, notifications of compensation events, and assisting with valuations, via email and via cloud-based systems such as Asite and CEMAR.
 
You will be present in various client led meetings, taking minutes, and will be present in periodic meetings with the company Directors and other members of the commercial team, to report on the financial performance of your projects.
 
You will also be expected to work closely with project managers to build quotations to win call off contracts/projects within the framework and forecast those works accurately to ensure a strong commercial performance within budget. You will be responsible for commercially managing the subcontractors/supply chain in terms of valuing/assessing their AFPs, variations, issuing instructions, and general communications.
 
Requirements:
·Relevant degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred
·Experience working on NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
·1/2 years minimum experience as a Quantity Surveyor
·Experience using cloud-based systems, Asite and CEMAR, beneficial  
·Experience working on rail projects for a contractor, ideally minor civils
·Knowledge of the core principles such as Compensation Events, Early Warning Notifications, Payment Terms, Contractors Communications and Programme Acceptance
