Working Supervisor - Highway Schemes
Location: Bristol Area
Contract: Freelance
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Working Supervisor to join our team on a freelance basis and oversee the delivery of our highway schemes in the Bristol area. As a Freelance Working Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our projects, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage and coordinate site teams to ensure that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards
·Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that work is progressing as planned and to identify any potential issues or risks
·Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards
·Manage and maintain site documentation and records, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date
·Monitor site costs and manage budgets, ensuring that costs are kept within budget
·Liaise with Works Managers and Project Managers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
·Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on site progress and identifying any issues or risks
·Provide support and guidance to site teams, ensuring that they are working efficiently and to the required quality standards
·Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that they deliver their work to the required quality and standards
Skills and Experience:
·Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the highways sector
·Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and site teams
·Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate site risks
·Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
·Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and standards
