Transport Planner
Are you passionate about shaping the future of transport and making a positive impact on urban mobility? We are looking for a talented and motivated Transport Planner to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects and play a key role in the development of innovative and sustainable transport solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
·Deliver transport planning services, including feasibility studies, traffic assessments, and transport strategies.
·Collaborate with local authorities, developers, and stakeholders to provide expert advice on transportation infrastructure and policies.
·Prepare and review transport assessments, travel plans, and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
·Analyze and model traffic data using industry-standard software to inform project decisions.
·Assist in the design and implementation of traffic management plans and strategies.
·Support the delivery of high-quality reports, presentations, and proposals.
·Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on a variety of projects, ranging from residential developments to large-scale infrastructure projects.
What We're Looking For:
·A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
·A solid understanding of transport planning principles and practices.
·Experience in traffic modeling and transport assessment software (e.g., ARCADY, LINSIG, or VISSIM).
·Knowledge of current transport legislation and planning policies.
·Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
·A proactive and collaborative approach to working with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
·Previous experience in transport planning, ideally in a consultancy setting, is preferred but not essential.
