Role: Trainee technical sales engineer
Location: Coalville (Leicester)
Salary: £27,000-£35,000 p/a plus package
 
My client is looking to strengthen their sales team with as trainee sales engineer. The role will be to shadow their existing sales team to work their way up to a full technical sales role with further growth potential. The candidate is required to have an engineering background or experience carrying out surveys, drawings and technical knowledge - predominately with pumps, water treatment or vehicle washing. The role with training is to provide bespoke quotations in response to their incoming enquiries.
 
The successful candidate will be required to have good communication skills, be a team player and bring their own set of skills to the team but work within their current formats and to their standards. Be customer focussed and driven to work with our management team in pushing the business to grow further.
 
They're growing at a healthy pace and this role is essential for keeping on top of current sales demand. The role includes technical support to their wider team, but initially involves inhouse training for the candidate and external training.
 
If you're more senior, that's ok. They will offer a different package which has the OTE of around £45,000 plus car, laptop, phone and benefits.
 
The role will be based mainly at their head office with some travelling to meet new customers around the UK. (there is not much staying out required at all, the current sales team stay out less than a handful of times per year as their service engineers fulfil some site surveys too).
