Vacancy: Trainee Gas Detection Surveyor
Location: You need to live within a 30min drive of Aldershot
Salary: £24,800 + overtime at an enhanced rate
Working week: 40 hours flexible working hours between Monday - Friday
Essential criteria: You must hold a full UK drivers license and be able to walk 20-26km per week
Contract: 3-4months and scope for this to transition into a permanent role
 
My client are looking to hire a Trainee Gas Detection Surveyor to join their expanding team due to new project wins.
 
This role doesn't require any previous experience as full training will be provided however you MUST BE ABLE TO for fill these two criteria:
 
- Hold a full UK Drivers License
- Be able to walk circa 5KM per day as walking will be a large part of the role
 
In this role you will be working as part of a large experience team that will give you full training and job shadowing to get you up to speed.
 
Once you are up to speed you will work on an individual basis starting and finishing your day from home as you will be provided a company vehicle (car and able to use this for personal use) meaning that you have no travel costs or commuting times as you will be provided with a fuel card.
 
In this role you will be attached to surveying the main gas networks, carrying out either walking or driving based surveys.  The purpose of the surveys is to detect if there are any breaks or damage to the network to identify any leakage points. You will be responsible for carrying out the surveys and reporting if any of the equipment detect gas above a certain threshold level.
 
You will be provided with your weekly routes / work flows that will need to be completed,
and be able to schedule your own routes.  
 
Standard working days are 8 hours per day = 40 hours per week and you are flexible to carry out these hours between 7:30am and 6pm meaning you can have flexibility on working hours as long as you complete 40 hours per week.
 
On offer is a salary of £24,800 based on a 40 hour week with optional overtime available.
