Street works & Traffic Manager
 
Carrington West are currently working with a busy council in Bedfordshire with their search for a Team Leader of Street works and Traffic Management.
 
As the Team Leader you must be able to demonstrate an understanding and have managed a team delivering the full Street works function, Traffic Management including Road Safety Officers and Highways Officers.
 
Personal Specification:
·Experience of managing staff and complex situations, using clear judgement to advise others to do the same
·Experience of developing and maintaining positive and collaborative relationships with private and public sector organisations, community/customer groups and other stakeholders, to drive improvements in service delivery.
·In depth and up to date working knowlege and understanding of the 1980 Highway Act and other related legislation
·In depth theoretical and applied knowledge of highway and traffic legislation and regulations
·Able to draft agreements pursuant to highways/planning legislation for infrastructure & transportation provision/improvement
·Experience of traffic engineering / management
·Knowledge of parking enforcement legislation or moving traffic offence enforcement legislation including the ongoing development of best practice and case law
·Knowledge and experience of Traffic Calming and Traffic Impact
·Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act
·You will have a thorough knowledge of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.
