The Transportation team in Chesterfield are looking for an Engineer that has experience designing traffic engineering schemes.

Key Responsibilities :
 
·Preparation of feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs for traffic engineering schemes and associated reporting, supporting the presentation of deliverables to clients.
·Ensure technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief, checking the work of junior staff as appropriate and working within specified time and financial constraints.
·Collaborate with colleagues both in the immediate team and wider business to ensure high quality deliverables.
·Assist in the preparation of client fee proposals for approval by senior colleagues and contribute to major bids as required.
·Seek opportunities to advance personal professional development and assist in the development and career progression of junior members of staff.
·Ensure safe working practices, adopting a 'safety first' approach to all work.
 
Just a snapshot of some of the recent completed projects include: Chesterfield to Staveley Regeneration Rout, new 6km single carriageway Derwent Valley Trail, feasibility for 50+km of new multi-user trails in Derbyshire White Peak Loop, Extension of the Monsal Trail to Buxton Woodville Swadlincote Regeneration Route, new 1km single carriageway,Various Active Travel Schemes in Rotherham, Nottinghamshire and Doncaster
·Experience in the field of highway design with demonstrable knowledge of UK standards including DMRB, MCHW and various local authority design standards.
·Understanding of drainage design principles.
·Experience as a designer on highways projects; Proficient in the use of 3d Civils / OpenRoads
