Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 DOE

Due to a strong and growing project pipeline, a well-established rail SME design and build contractor is looking to appoint a SISS/Telecoms Design Engineer into their multidisciplinary team based in Derby.
You will be a key contributor for their SISS work, delivering high-quality designs for station upgrades, Access for All (AFA) schemes, and new build projects.
You’ll be trusted to deliver high-quality, compliant designs, working closely with electrical and wider engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions.

- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Network Rail standards and processes.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a SISS / Telecoms Design Engineer within the UK rail sector.
- Essential proficiency with Bentley MicroStation is required. You must be able to produce designs using this software from day one.

- A broader understanding of operational communications systems.
- Experience with data management systems such as ProjectWise.
- Familiarity with associated electrical power systems for comms equipment.
