Technical Officer - Highways
Location: London (Hybrid)
Contract: 3-6 months
Rate: £250/day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: ASAP
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Officer to support the Highways team. This role involves delivering technical and datadriven work across asset management and construction projects. You will report directly to the Head of Highways and work closely with a range of internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare technical responses, reports, and correspondence for senior officers and Members
·Support NEC4 contract management and liaise with suppliers
·Analyse highways and asset data to inform decision-making
·Assist with the delivery of construction and maintenance projects
·Respond to FOIs and general information requests
·Coordinate with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and programmes
Qualifications & Experience
·Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field
·Several years of experience in highways, construction, or asset management
·Knowledge of NEC4 contracts
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Excellent organisational and analytical skills
