My client is looking for a systems safety assurance engineer to join a growing team providing support to the Transpennine Route Upgrade systems safety team.
Your duties will be to provide risk assessments, design workshops and management and coordination of design across the works. You will be delivering works that must be compliant with the CDM Regulations, Common Safety Method and Railway Interoperability Regulations and will be providing advice and management related to these regulations
A background in safety assurance within geotechnical, signaling, trackway would be beneficial
 
 Essential:
·        Previously working in CSM role within the Railway
·        Competent practitioner in system safety
·         Excellent knowledge of CDM Regs, CSM and Railway Interoperability Regulations
·         Excellent knowledge of engineering design standards for the UK Rail Network and British and European Standards
 
 
Preferred:
·        Previous experience working at Assessment Body Services For The Railway (AsBo)
·       Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional institution
