Sustainable Travel Team Leader
 
We currently have an exciting opportunity with a Local Authority in the East Midlands for a Sustainable Travel Team Leader. The purpose of this role is to manage a team responsible for delivering the Council's low carbon and active travel agenda including its Low Emission Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) programme and mobility hubs.
 
In this role you will:
 
·To manage staff and resources responsible for delivering the Council's active and low carbon travel agenda. This includes working with key stakeholders including, but not exclusive to, schools, workplaces and communities more generally.
 
·To ensure the ongoing delivery of the Council's LEVI programme in line with corporate and Council objectives. This will include introducing new and innovative programmes such as Transport Hubs.
 
·To ensure the ongoing delivery of the County's Key Cycle and Local Cycle Networks are maintained in line with the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan and County Cycle Plan.
 
·To ensure effective consideration of low carbon and active travel issues are included in land-use planning and in the decisions of the council and other organisations
 
·To develop, monitor and implement delivery of the internal council employee travel plan (Miles Better) in line with corporate goals and objectives
 
·To liaise and work in partnership with public and private sector organisations to promote and encourage the adoption of low carbon travel and active opportunities
