Are you an experienced Sub Agent ready to step up into a Senior Sub Agent position? Or perhaps you're already working at this level but looking for a fresh challenge on technically interesting and rewarding infrastructure projects across Kent and the surrounding areas.
 
We're partnering with a well-established and reputable civil engineering contractor to find a Sub Agent to join their growing Southern team. With a strong pipeline of highway, earthworks and drainage schemes ahead, this is an opportunity to take real ownership of delivery across critical infrastructure work.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sub Agent, you'll support the Project Manager and Site Agent in leading projects from start to finish. Duties include:
·Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget
·Coordinating directly with engineers, operatives, and subcontractors
·Preparing method statements, risk assessments, and project documentation
·Understanding tender allowances and tracking contract costs
·Programming works and monitoring progress against the schedule
·Overseeing design coordination and subcontractor engagement
·Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, communities, and clients
·Championing high HSEQ standards across all works on site
 
This role is ideal for a Sub Agent looking to expand their experience into a more senior leadership capacity or an existing Senior Sub Agent ready for a new regional challenge.
 
What We're Looking For:
·Proven experience in the UK civils sector - ideally with a main contractor
·Strong background in roads, highways, flood defences, drainage, and earthworks
·Confident managing NEC contracts
·SMSTS (or equivalent) essential
·First Aid at Work - desirable
·Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be open to travel across the Southern region
·Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
