We are seeking a dedicated Streetworks Inspector to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement on the network under the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect permits issued under the Buckinghamshire Permit Scheme and contribute to the smooth functioning of our highways.
 
·Organize and prioritize tasks to ensure seamless service delivery and adapt to changing priorities.
·Conduct a variety of tests, inspections, surveys, and assessments, resolving issues and escalating complex problems when necessary.
·Process and analyze complex information and applications according to established procedures.
·Stay updated on current issues, developments, and legislation changes that impact the work area. Provide feasible solutions, prepare reports, and share recommendations as required.
·Offer accurate advice and support to colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. Address inquiries and escalated complaints effectively.
·Assist in developing and promoting service-related information and activities.
·Create technical plans, designs, and specifications within your specialized area as needed.
·Collaborate with customers to enhance services, processes, and best practices while ensuring safety and compliance.
·Minimize risks and uphold health, safety, and welfare requirements.
·Participate in incident responses, emergencies, and exercises.
·Collaborate with others to refine requirements, contribute to policies and procedures, and support project deliveries.
·Lead specialist projects or contribute to larger initiatives.
·Share knowledge and expertise to support development, mentorship, and technical advice.
·Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting good practices and effective communication.
·Monitor and report on service standards and budgets, identifying issues for review and improvement.
·Assist in service planning, budget planning, and grant management.
·Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for coordinated service delivery.
·Champion Equality & Diversity and promote Health, Safety, and Environment activities.
