Street Works Administrator/Permit Officer
 
Carrington West, on behalf of their client, is recruiting for a Street Works administrator.
 
The Street Works administrator role is based in the South West an is on a contract basis.
 
-This role is to support the street works/highway network management team in the co-ordination and enforcement of road/street works/events/licenses on the public highway.
-We are ideally looking for an enthusiastic person with an understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act/experience in a street works environment.
-We are also looking for good/excellent IT and keyboard skills and ideally experience with software such as Confirm/Eton or similar with an ability to learn new software quickly. 
-Interrogate/review/action/comment/co-ordinate statutory notices received via Confirm/Eton under NRSWA legislation to ensure they meet all legal requirements.
-Raise defect notices, issue duration challenges, extensions to works and other associated tasks/procedures relating to NRSWA.
-Preparation/issue of financial information/invoicing.
-Use and monitoring of Elgin software applications to assist in the co-ordination and management of the highway network.
-Provision of general administrative support including dealing with enquiries from statutory undertakers, contractors, officers within the authority, councillors and the public, correspondence monitoring, and other general duties.
-Provide short-term cover at the appropriate skill/experience level during periods of staff absence and carry out other duties as required commensurate with the grade of the post.
