Street Lighting Clerk of Works / Inspector
 
Looking for a Street Lighting Clerk of Works / Inspector to join a Street Lighting project in West Yorkshire.
 
The Street Lighting Clerk of Works / Inspector will report to the Street Lighting Supervisor and to agree joint quality control procedures with the Project Team in accordance with the requirements of the Works Information and audit such procedures and records to ensure that quality control inspections are effective and efficient.
 
Experienced required for the Street Lighting Clerk of Works / Inspector
 
·A minimum of 5 years extensive hands on experience of local authority street lighting maintenance and construction (preferably including operating within a contractor type role providing such services)
·Extensive experience of local authority street lighting work supervision and monitoring of projects (preferably including operating within a contractor type role providing such services)
·Hands on application of all types of street lighting apparatus including historic cast iron columns, embellished columns, wall mountings, pole brackets, subway lighting, signing (both lit and unlit), bollards.
·Experience of analysing large volumes of survey data
 
To demonstrate a good understanding of 'Working Practices' in the following subject matter:
 
- New Roads and Street Works Act 1991
- HAUC specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways June 2002
- Safety at Street Works and Road Works - A Code of Practice
- HSE Guidance Note GS6 - Avoidance of danger from overhead electric lines
- HSE Guidance Note HS(G) 47 - Avoiding danger from underground services
- G39 Working in the vicinity of Regional Electrical Company Equipment.
- Associated Generic RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
 
To hold the following certificates
·ONC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or City & Guilds 2391 - Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate BS 7671 - 18th Edition IET Wring Regulations
·G39 Certificate Hold NRSWA Certificate
·ECS card- Electromechanical Certification Scheme
·HERS Registered
·Full Driving Licence
