Rate: £365 - £425 a day outside IR35

Location: York is main office but can take anyone based between London and York and can visit sites
Framework Duration: Until April 2026

We've got a brand-new opportunity for a Principal Engineer with STE02 competency to join the team in York and play a pivotal role on the CAFA framework. This is a chance to step into a senior role where your expertise in structural assessments and examinations will directly impact the safety and reliability of the rail network.

What You'll Be Doing:
·Acting as CRE-A and STE02 on the CAFA project.
·Leading detailed examination and assessment reports in line with Network Rail standards.
·Producing full calculation files, compliance notes, and certification for sign-off.
·Working closely with Network Rail Asset Engineers, ensuring all queries and updates are handled swiftly.

What We're Looking For:
·Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering + Chartered status (CEng / MICE / MIStructE or similar).
·Proven experience on Network Rail projects (CAFA, NR/L2/CIV/025, NR/L2/CIV/035).
·Valid STE02 competency sign-off (certs/training evidence required).
·CRE-A acceptance & valid certificate for assessment discipline.
