Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor to work on a major lead service pipe replacement contract within the London water network. This is a high volume, streetworks focused programme replacing lead supply pipes to improve water quality and network resilience.

You will be site based, overseeing up to five gangs each day, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of works in live highways and residential environments.
Water sector experience is an advantage but not essential, provided you bring strong NRSWA knowledge, streetworks supervision experience and a firm approach to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate five operational teams delivering lead service pipe replacement across multiple sites
  • Drive Health and Safety as the first priority, with a zero compromise attitude
  • Carry out daily streetworks checks, ensuring permits, TM and site controls are in place and compliant
  • Sign off permits and ensure all works adhere to NRSWA and local authority requirements
  • Implement and monitor signing, lighting and guarding to required standards
  • Be firm and fair with teams, not afraid to stop works where safety or compliance is at risk
  • Liaise with planners, supervisors, clients and local stakeholders to support smooth delivery
  • Maintain accurate records, daily site diaries, permit documentation and photos as required

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • SMSTS
  • Proven experience supervising streetworks / highways / utilities gangs
  • Strong knowledge of signing, lighting and guarding
  • Confident managing multiple teams on a fast moving contract
  • Able to enforce standards and challenge unsafe or non compliant behaviour

Desirable

  • Experience in water, lead replacement or clean water network projects
  • Experience on reactive or high volume programmes in urban environments
