Job description

Are you an experienced Civil Site Manager within the Water sector?

My client a main contractor is looking for Site Manager to join them on a Water projects in Wales covering the Welsh Water area.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within the Water/Utilities sector joining on a permanent basis.

The ideal  Site Manager will be delivering civil and utilities projects from pre-construction thorugh to commissioning.

Role requirements

  • Leading the site team and manage and mentor the site supervisor.
  • Leading the subcontractors for the delivery of the projects as per programme and construction good practise and standards
  • Knowing what safety excellence looks like and communicate safety with passion and credibility in order to inspire, motivate and lead the site team
  • Fostering continuous improvement culture by actively seeking input from all members of the team.
  • Ensure sustainability targets and standards are achieve promoting sustainable solutions particularly in waste, energy and water
  • Ensure that project plans and schedules are robust and optimise project resources and timescales are communicated effectively to the team
  • Liaise with the PM to ensure they are fully aware of the project progress and is notified of all financial, specifications and time risks ensuring that all additional work is notified
  • Proactively assist with managing the customer relationship
  • Managing and ensure that site team embraces governance and procedures
  • Ensure defects and any post completion issues, if applicable, to maintain a positive customer relationship and repeat business performance levels
  • Taking ownership of the project documentation management and produce audit-compliant documentation for daily activities on site
