Site / Project Manager - Utilities

Role: Site Manager - Utilities
Salary: Up to £55k
Location: Cambridge (Office) / Projects across East Anglia
Type: Full-time, permanent role

Carrington West are delighted to present an exciting new opportunity alongside our client who are an up and coming Utilities and Civil Engineering contractor who specialise in the in the construction and management of a range of utility connections including electrical, water and telecoms. In addition the Civil Construction arm of the business undertake work on a variety of schemes, from small foundations to full civil structures within Power generation and water management.

Due to continued growth within the business they are now looking for an experienced Site or Project Manager Manger to join their established team and help with the management and oversight of a range of Utilities projects across East Anglia. The projects at the moment will have a strong focus on Power so any previous experience of managing projects within the power sector or on electrical frameworks would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, including project planning, scope definition, resource allocation, risk management, and implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project completion.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, provide updates to stakeholders, and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
  • Oversee the documentation and reporting of project progress, milestones, and lessons learned.

Key requirements:

  • Site or Project Management experienced within the utilities sector, preferably with previous experience of working within power specific projects.
  • Prince 2 or associated PM qualifications
  • SMSTS
  • NRSWA Supervisor
  • Full UK Driving Licence
