Job Advert: Setting out Engineer
 
Salary: £30,000-£40,000+ Car allowance
 
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate setting out and effective reporting on construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of our projects.
 
Responsibilities:
 
·Carry out precise setting out of construction works, ensuring alignment with project specifications and drawings.
·Utilize surveying instruments and equipment to establish accurate levels and measurements on site.
·Monitor and report on the progress of construction activities, including daily site diaries and progress reports.
·Collaborate with the project team to ensure smooth coordination and communication on site.
·Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
·Identify and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during construction.
·Maintain accurate records of site activities, measurements, and as-built information.
·Provide accurate and timely reports to project management and stakeholders.
 
Requirements:
 
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer, with a focus on setting out and reporting.
·Proficient in using surveying instruments and equipment.
·Strong knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
·Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in setting out activities.
·Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
·Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
·Good organizational and time management abilities.
·Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure.
·Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
 
Desirable:
 
·Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
·Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in setting out and reporting.
·Experience in using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
·Understanding of relevant regulations and codes of practice.
