Site Agent
 
The Site Agent will be responsible for the delivery of both reactive and capital highway infrastructure construction related projects, including the delivery of highway maintenance and repairs, footway refurbishments, carriageway resurfacing and civil engineering schemes (including structures and retaining walls).
 
The Site Agent will
 
·Effectively manage works programmes and efficient monitoring of all allocated resources to ensure that works are completed within timescales, to budget and ensuring the completion of all documentation to enable this is achieved.
·Assist in the implementation of work contracts as directed by the Senior Engineer and supervise resources employed, including necessary liaison with statutory undertakers and appropriate health and safety/risk assessment procedures.
·Effectively employ personal knowledge and experience to analyse and resolve problems within restricted deadlines, including situations when immediate decisions are required.
·Ensure health and safety is effectively managed and provide support to staff on contractual matters such as contract compliance and law.
·Assist with the economic planning and control of the allocation and utilisation of labour, construction equipment and materials on all works to ensure timely completion and specified quality.
·Understand the difficulties and issues of operating within a budgeted trading account culture, ensuring that the business operates in a manner to recover its trading costs.
·Demonstrate an understanding of surface preservation techniques and capacity and use astute knowledge of where they are best applied, in order to demonstrate value engineering solutions.
·Assist in supervision and controlling sub-contractors.
