Job description

I am looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a Highways project in the Cambridge area.
 
The ability to use GPS and Leica robotic total station for setting out is a must!
 
Main duties:
 
·Reporting progress to senior management and keeping diary of completed works
·Toolbox talks & HSEQ briefings.
·Looking ahead and raising any technical issues.
·Overlooking gangs ensuring they are working as per design.
·Pre-start site inspections.
·Organising plant & materials.
·Writing Risk Assessments.

Experience required:
 
·Road construction and materials experience.
·Crossfalls and cambers on road construction experience.
·Block up and dips for setting out and record keeping.
·Auto CAD work experience.
·Problem solving.
·Working with Contractors such as Asphalt, Planers and White liners.
