Job description

Senior Transport Planner
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will play a key role in delivering transport planning projects while supporting the growth of the Bristol team. You'll take ownership of project delivery, contribute to client relationships, and provide guidance to junior team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Preparing Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans for a range of developments
·Supporting the delivery of transport inputs to Environmental Statements
·Managing project workloads, timelines, and coordination with internal teams
·Attending meetings with clients, local authorities, and design teams
·Contributing to site access strategies and sustainable transport solutions
·Assisting with project budgeting and resource planning
·Supporting and mentoring junior team members
·Playing a part in developing new opportunities and strengthening the team's presence in Bristol

Requirements
·A relevant degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or a related field
·Progressing towards or holding a professional qualification (such as CIHT or RTPI)
·Proven experience in transport planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
·Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
·Understanding of transport assessments and relevant planning policy
·Experience with data analysis and junction modelling tools (e.g. JUNCTIONS, LinSig, or similar)
·Familiarity with transport design standards and use of AutoCAD or equivalent
·A collaborative approach with a strong sense of responsibility for delivering quality work
