Senior Traffic Signals Engineer

Greater London

3-month contract (minimum)

£40 - £45 per hour, Inside IR35
 

Are you an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Traffic Signals Engineer to join them on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·Maintaining traffic signals and traffic system installations.
·Management of traffic signal and telematics contracts, ensuring that contract requirements, conditions and performance are met.
·Technical support to the UTMC (Urban Traffic Management and Control) system and remote monitoring systems managing telemetry.
·Management and supervision of technical staff, consultants and development of junior posts.
·Assisting the wider highways and streetworks team with project input and document checking of roadworks.
·Assist in managing the highway network in line with its corporate objectives and legal requirements.

What is required?
 
·Extensive recent experience in the modelling and optimisation of traffic signal installations including the use of software packages such as Linsig, UTC/SCOOT.
·Extensive recent experience in the design, installation, maintenance, and operation of traffic signals and UTMC systems (including fault reporting management systems) and protocols.
·Project management experience.
