Job description
A rare opportunity has arisen to join an award winning, forward-thinking engineering consultancy in their London office.
The company provide structural and civil engineering expertise across a wide range of sectors - from education facilities to residential and commercial buildings.
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design, analysis, and delivery of complex structural projects. You will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring technical excellence, and fostering strong client relationships and your leadership and expertise will be crucial in driving project success and mentoring the next generation of engineers.
Responsibilities
- Leading structural engineering design on multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to completion
- Delivering technical excellence in reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures
- Coordinating with architects, clients, and other disciplines to ensure high-quality project delivery
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development
- Supporting BIM integration and embracing modern digital design tools
- Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards
Requirements
- Chartered or near-chartered status (CEng, MIStructE or MICE)
- Minimum of 5+ years' UK consultancy experience in structural engineering
- Proven track record of leading projects or managing significant design packages
- Strong technical background with excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, Robot, TEDDS, Revit)
- Collaborative mindset and a commitment to sustainable, efficient design
