Job description

A rare opportunity has arisen to join a forward-thinking engineering consultancy that's redefining the built environment across the UK and Ireland.

The company provide structural and civil engineering expertise across a wide range of sectors - from cutting-edge data centres and education facilities to residential, commercial, and advanced manufacturing developments. With offices in the UK and Ireland and a strong pipeline of exciting, technically challenging projects, they are now seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing UK team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading structural engineering design on multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to completion
  • Delivering technical excellence in reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures
  • Coordinating with architects, clients, and other disciplines to ensure high-quality project delivery
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development
  • Supporting BIM integration and embracing modern digital design tools
  • Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards

Requirements

  • Chartered or near-chartered status (CEng, MIStructE or MICE)
  • Minimum of 5+ years' UK consultancy experience in structural engineering
  • Proven track record of leading projects or managing significant design packages
  • Strong technical background with excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, Robot, TEDDS, Revit)
  • Collaborative mindset and a commitment to sustainable, efficient design
