Join my client's Rail & Public Transport team based in Cardiff working across a varied range of regional and UK investment projects.

You will be part of a team undertaking a full range of challenging and varied work in the planning, design and implementation of public transport and rail schemes, working for a number of public sector clients on projects, in Wales and the rest of the UK.
 
This role is permanent and offering a competitive salary.
 
Responsibilities:
·To investigate transport problems, formulate policies, schemes, and strategies, and evaluate solutions
·To undertake rail and public transport demand forecasting and scheme appraisal in accordance with Transport Appraisal Guidance
·To prepare technical reports including business cases, transport strategies, scheme development and consultation reports.
·To manage and co-ordinate rail and public transport technical studies including work being undertaken by a range of different disciplines in support of business cases and option development reports.
·To support consultation including preparing stakeholder presentations and presenting findings and arranging and undertaking public consultation exercises and writing consultation reports.
·To manage projects of appropriate scale, including forecast, monitor and control project resources and costs within set timescales and budgets ensuring quality processes are adhered to and co-ordinate resources ensuring clarity of programme, deliverables, and interfaces.
·To supervise junior staff

What we're looking for:
·Postgraduate qualification in transportation or equivalent
·Appropriate Project management qualification
·Microsoft Project
·Transport scheme assessment and appraisal (e.g. TAG, WelTAG, STAG)
·Travel demand forecasting
·Rail demand forecasting (PDFH and/or Moira)
·Understanding and application of the Governance of the Rail investment process (GRIP)
·A full UK driving licence.
