Job description

My client is an award-winning engineering consultancy based in the centre of Nottingham.  They firmly believe that the social, economic, and environmental benefits of infrastructure bring people together, expand horizons, and boost the economy.  Established in 2013 they have grown to currently employ 23 people, providing consultancy services to the property development sector in Transport Planning, Infrastructure Design and Water Management.  Due to their continued success and a strong forward workload, they are looking to expand their 10 person strong Transport Planning Team via the appointment of an experienced individual at Senior / Principal Engineer level.

Specifically, they have several ongoing large projects (>1,000 houses, or > a million sqft of employment space) in addition to many medium and small projects.  They are interested in someone with the capability to provide technical support on these projects, whilst managing a portfolio of their own smaller projects.

Accordingly, they are looking for an individual who:

·Is experienced in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
·Has excellent technical skills, with capabilities across a range of software packages (Junctions 9, LinSig, TRICS, Tempro, spreadsheet traffic models, etc).
·Has a flair for applying these techniques to assess the transport impacts of development schemes, and use them to identify appropriate mitigation packages.
·Has a good understanding of design standards, with strong preliminary design skills.
·Is proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
·Enjoys developing individuals within internal project teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a very well established, highly motivated and friendly team where your efforts will be noticed, appreciated and rewarded.
