Senior - Associate Highway Engineer - Birmingham
Are you looking for a new opportunity to work within a large consultancy who are specialists in Highways & Infrastructure, Rail, Marine, Power & Energy and more.
A reputation for providing solutions to the most difficult challenges has led to work on some of the world's largest bridges and highly complex roads schemes.
 
The team are currently looking for a Senior, Principal or Associate Engineer to join their Highways team in Birmingham.
 
The company have grown this year, employing over 60 people since March and they have a strong pipeline of exciting major projects.
 
This role will be working from home initially and then back in the central Birmingham office part time in the future (this may be flexible if working from home suits).
 
The team would like to hear from you if you have the following skills and abilities:
·A track record of successful tendering and delivery of schemes in either the local or national transport market.
·Proven working knowledge of the design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB) and manual of contract documents for highways works (MCDHW)
·Experience of managing a professional team on projects using NEC contracts
·Organisational skills to coordinate the delivery activities of a professional team
·A clear understanding of the importance of robust business processes and systems and strong commitment to qualify.
·Strong communication and influencing skills
·Client focused
·AutoCAD, Micro Drainage and Civil 3D software
·Civil Engineering or equivalent degree. MEng preferred.
·Chartered Engineer or near Chartership
 
Main responsibilities of the role:
·Promoting a health, safety, and welfare culture.
·Working within a team environment
·Mentoring and coaching talent
·Supporting group director and regional director to achieve budget and strategy targets
·Working closely with business managers on resource management, utilisation monitoring and pipeline management.
·Developing business
·Project Management and technical delivery of highway schemes and infrastructure projects
