We're looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join our client's team delivering a series of National Highways schemes across the North West region. This role will involve supporting road and drainage upgrades, traffic management interfaces, and general civil engineering works on live carriageways.

Key Responsibilities:

·Setting out for highways and drainage works using GPS and robotic total stations.
·Producing and maintaining QA documentation, as-built records, and ITPs.
·Assisting with RAMS, permits, and technical queries on site.
·Working closely with the Site Agent and Supervisor to ensure programme and quality targets are met.
·Supporting both day and night operations, ensuring safety and compliance in live traffic environments.

Requirements:

·Previous experience on National Highways schemes.
·Proficient in setting out, surveying, and QA documentation.
·Valid CSCS card (minimum), with SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
·Strong understanding of health & safety and traffic management protocols.
·Flexibility to work a mix of days and nights as required.
