Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor


Location: Buckinghamshire


Salary: £60,000 - £70,000+ Car allowance.


Hybrid working available


Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge in the construction industry? Our client is seeking a highly skilled individual to work on a multi-million-pound road improvement scheme in the Buckinghamshire area.


Role Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for producing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications in accordance with the form of contract. You will liaise with operational and engineering staff to ensure site records are kept to the required standard, and produce subcontract documentation, including negotiation of terms. You will produce detailed monthly reports and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) as required by the business unit or project. You will also be responsible for producing and maintaining a detailed plan of costs, tracking and forecasting expenditure, including detailed schedules of subcontractor liabilities.


The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems, and be available to assist estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.


Key Responsibilities:
·Produce, submit, and agree monthly applications in accordance with the form of contract.

·Interpret and critically evaluate expenditure reports produced by internal cost systems.
·Assist estimating and bid teams with contractual expertise.


Requirements:
·A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
·Extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, preferably in the construction industry.
·Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Experience in producing subcontract documentation and negotiating terms.
·Strong planning and organizational skills.
·Experience in roadworks and exposure to s278/38
