My client who is one of the UK's leading independent Transport Planning consultancies is looking for a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join their team in the Liverpool area. This is due to an ever increasing workload with a number of recent project wins.
 
Role
The role will typically involve liaising with commercial developers, local authorities, town-planners and architects. The mentoring of junior members of the team and support their development is also a key element of the role. You will be required to produce Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans and the Transport Chapters of EIA's and generally support development projects through the planning process. Post submission negotiations with Local Highway authorities is also a key role within the organisation. A track record in business development would be preferred but not essential.  

Experience
You will be required to have experience working within a transport planning consultancy. Ideally you will have familiarity with the likes of Junctions 9, LinSig, AutoCAD, GIS, TEMPro, TRICS and Excel manipulation and be experienced in managing projects. You be confident in working effectively within a wider project team. You will also benefit from experience in managing strong client relationships .
