Our client is seeking an ambitious Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their brand-new Birmingham office team. This is a business-critical role that will form the cornerstone of their growth ambitions, supported by a solid pipeline of healthcare, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead mechanical design elements across multiple building services projects
·Deliver high-quality technical designs to RIBA Stages 1-4
·Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery
·Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
·Ensure designs meet relevant regulations, including healthcare-specific requirements
What They're Looking For:
·Proven track record as a Mechanical Design Engineer within a building services consultancy
·Experience across healthcare, residential, or industrial projects
·Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations, with an advantage if familiar with healthcare guidelines (HTM, HBN)
·Ability to take a brief, work independently, and deliver to deadlines
·Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
