Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing London-based team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established, employee-focused civil and structural engineering consultancy delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors.
The role would suit an experienced civil engineer with a strong background in drainage, infrastructure and external works design, looking to take on greater technical responsibility within a collaborative consultancy environment.
You will play a key role in the delivery of civil and infrastructure engineering designs, from early concept through to detailed design and construction support. The position has a strong emphasis on drainage and SuDS design, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
·Assist in the design and development of advanced drainage systems, including foul, surface water and SuDS solutions
·Produce detailed design drawings, technical specifications and engineering reports
·Undertake drainage modelling and design using MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
·Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards, regulations and best practice
·Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects and external consultants
·Provide technical support and mentoring to junior engineers where required
·Support planning submissions and technical approvals with local authorities
 
About You
·Proven experience in civil / infrastructure and drainage design engineering
·Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree advantageous)
·Proficient in MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
·Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
·Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) is desirable
