Senior Engineer - Development Control / Transport Engineer
 
My client is part of a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, providing specialist Highways, Traffic, Transportation and Water Engineering consultancy services to a broad range of domestic and large commercial clients.

The role will be based between Wakefield and Huddersfield, with flexible working opportunity and onsite parking.
 
As a Senior Engineer you will join the Traffic and Transportation team which currently consists of a number of engineers considering the highway aspects of a wide variety of private and public sector development proposals. This will include preparing supporting documentation in relation to planning applications and other legal aspects of the development industry. You will also assist in the preliminary design of junction arrangements and sustainable transport facilities to serve the developments in question.
 
You will be required to liaise with Clients and to assist our Principal Engineers in managing a team of engineers and technicians working on a range of projects throughout the country.
 
Working alongside Local, Regional and National Planning and Highway Authorities, Public and Private Developers, the position offers an exciting opportunity to take up an important role.
 
To succeed as a Senior Engineer in the Traffic and Transportation team you will have experience in a highways development control or similar role, and will ideally hold, or will be working towards, Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status. You will be working in a positive team environment therefore you should be confident and personable with the ability to integrate.
 
A detailed knowledge and understanding of the preparation of Transport Assessments and other related reports and the use of Junctions and LinSig software packages are required together with experience of highway design standards.
