What we need:
We are seeking a Senior Technician with a major highways and associated infrastructure design background.
 
What you will do:
Provide CAD and other highways design for our major scheme's portfolio. 
 
Remote Working with occasional days out on site visits . 
When offices reopen next year, flexible working between home and the council offices. 
 
Hours of work 37 hrs per week   
 
What you will need to succeed:
·Recent & relevant experience in the design and construction of highway and related projects.
·Competent in the preparation of highway maintenance and design schemes, including the production of detailed design drawings and schedules
·Ability to design highway projects to programme and cost with minimal supervision.
·Competent user of CAD software (Civil 3D, MX, AutoCAD etc) and drainage modelling software.
The successful candidate will be able to plan and organise their own workload working on their own initiative with minimal supervision. Reporting to both Project Engineer and Senior Engineer, the candidate will support the design team providing CAD and other highway design.  
 
Other requirements:
The candidate will be required to provide their own laptop compatible with Office 365 and loaded with  AutoCAD .  Access to the councils systems will be provided to give access for time sheet entry. Should the candidate need access to Civils 3D, MX or drainage modelling software this is held on a loaner laptop that can be booked out.
