Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Location: Hatfield office, 3 days per week. Occasional site travel.

Requirements:

• MicroStation 2D mandatory, 3D preferred.
• Ability to mentor more junior members of the team.
• Rail experience preferred.
• Background in civil design work including reinforced concrete, earthworks, and occasional buildings.
• Proficiency in concrete in-ground design (non-negotiable)
• Experience conducting site surveys e.g. topographic surveys
• PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification required (can be obtained after starting).
• Full driving license and own vehicle.
• Full right to work.

About the job:
A principal contractor is seeking a MicroStation technician to support on civil design schemes including concrete, earthworks, and the occasional structure. This role will also involve the occasional survey using GPS rover.
In this team, you will be working on re-signalling schemes, earthworks, lineside civils etc. and mentoring more junior members of staff, working closely with a team of engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.
