Rents & Estates Officer
Are you an experienced Rents & Estates Officer looking for a new opportunity?
If so this role could be for you.
Who will you be joining?
You will be joining a Cambridgeshire based Local Authority in a team responsible for the commercial management of a property portfolio that is situated across market towns and villages as part of a team that strive to be innovative and forward thinking whilst putting their residents first and ensure the best possible service is delivered every time.
What will you do?
Within this role you will have a versatile list of responsibilities which includes the following:
Support the Estates and Asset teams in the management of costs and income streams
Identify relevant information from property documents for the purpose of billing
Manage the finance system accurately and in a timely manner to ensure records and accounts are correctly maintained
Raise invoices, credit notes and write offs
Collaborate with internal teams to manage debts
Assist with annual budgeting
Support the property team and tenants
What do you need?
To be successful in your application for this role you will need to demonstrate the following on application and through the interview process:
Working knowledge of AR ledger, property debt and credit control procedures in relation to commercial property
Knowledge of the RICS service charge code of practice,
Knowledgeable and competent in commercial property matters to effectively support a diverse property portfolio and understand the sound administration for such a portfolio to operate efficiently and effectively
Hold or be studying towards a recognized accounting or property qualification (AAT or RICS or similar)
An understanding of the needs of both operational and investment properties, general compliance issues and financial management of property costs and income
A methodical and numerical outlook to ensure accurate and timely data management and billing on a right first time basis and a mindset for improvement and efficiency in business processes
How will you benefit?
If you are successful in securing this role you will receive a salary of £25,391 per annum on a 37-hour working week with full Local Authority benefits package.
